Active Cheat Detection Monitoring

Most RAM cheats cannot be detected by a server as the cheat takes place on the driver's computer.  We therefore developed a system that allows for that detection. It is a system made up of:

1.Server software that resides on the server that hosts the races.

2.Client software that runs on the drivers computer during the race.

3. A database and backend server that coordinates the information. This is a two fold process as it checks for known cheats as well as any other active programs that may be suspicious.

Drivers are ejected from the race by ACDM and everyone in the race is informed if a driver is ejected and what they were ejected for.  Below are the messages that can appear in chat, and what the admin needs to know.  We recommend that new leagues start with the LOW setting to acquaint drivers with ACDM. After that if an admin wants improved connections for their league they can move up.

Messages: Low setting will give the 3 messages below and only warn drivers for email and browsers.

LOW:  1. Driver is ejected for a know cheat.   2. Driver is ejected for a suspicious program. (a program that may emulate a cheat or be one). In all of these ejections, drivers will be told by the rsClient what they were ejected for, if the driver allows the client to come back up.  The driver ejected needs to take a screen shot of that message.  This can easily be done by holding the alt button down, then clicking the print screen button, then go to either MS Word or Paint and pasting it there, save it and attach to an email; send to rsCheat_Protest and the admin of the league.  Once in a while the detection will see a non-cheat program as a cheat, however; should this happen the driver needs to have a way to exonerate him/herself and the system can be adjusted if it is doing so. If a driver does not send this info, it is up to the league as to how they want to handle the situation.3. Driver is ejected for Altered Mod means the mod the driver has is altered. Drivers need to get most of their mods from our downloads page.  As Altered Mod cheat was added since cheating was being accomplished by using one of the other physics models from one mod to another. This does not mean that all drivers ejected for altered mod were trying to do this, but if a driver is ejected for that message, they need to get the correct mod for that series so that it does not eject them again.  Three ejections in a 24 hour span will deactivate an account. So drivers need to get in a practice session with ACDM on and make sure their mod is correct.

MEDIUM:  4. Will do the above plus eject drivers for unauthorized programs:  As email and browsers.

HIGH:  5.Will do all the above 1-3 and it will also warn drivers about too many unnecessary programs running. So drivers need to use EndITAll, adaware and other spybot programs to eliminate too many processes from running on their machines. Often spyware can startup other programs and have them hidden without a driver knowing. Drivers need to reduce the number down to 100 or less.  This will help their PC perform at better frame rates and improve connections so packet loss is reduce and the racing can be the best so far as connections.

When racing on the internet, drivers need all the resources they can get. It is unlikely a driver needs access  their email, internet browser, or many other programs while running three wide at Daytona. A-CDM is the first and only cheat detection system for online racing that will eject drivers for running known cheats. Not only does A-CDM eject the driver but it also issues an in the race Chat message for all drivers to see that he/she was ejected by A-CDM. Warning messages are also sent for programs

If you are an League Administrator and you are interested in utilizing the A-CDM  for your league, please contact CJ  If you are a game producer and you would like to incorporate A-CDM into your next product feel free to contact us also.
